We got bus passes to go up and down the strip today, right at the north, past the strip is Fremont Street (covered old town Las Vegas street), it was a massive let down. People had hyped it up, and we’d heard that the street performers were good, but it was full of homeless and strange people so we didn’t stay long.
Got the bus back to the top of the main part of the strip, where the Wynn and Encore hotels are and walked a bit south from there. Popping into the Venetian to look at the gondolas. That was good to see, but we didn’t go on one. Kind of thinking at this point that all the hotels are the same!
Finally, we took the bus right to the south. Past our hotel. To the Las Vegas sign. There was a queue of people waiting for photos, but no one seemed to mind us just going to the side of it!
Had tea in an Irish pub, excellent Guinness stew, there was also an Irish band playing.
