Fishermans Wharf

After an early breakfast, we got the hotel shuttle to the airport for 9:30. The Virgin America flight was fine, it had cool touch screens for ordering drinks before the trolley arrived.

In San Francisco, we got the BART train to the centre and walked to the hotel, bit of a trek. It’s hilly here. Stayed at a travel lodge, budget motel (but most expensive so far). It was good, owned by the same company as Ramada.

We went to Fishermans Wharf for a look round, you could see Alcatraz and the Bridge from the docks here. It was windy. Had food at a restaurant which had happy hour. It was very touristy here, like Blackpool almost. On the way back the hotel, we went past the Zig Zag street on Lombard street. Everyone who drove down it seemed to be filming themselves doing it.

  1. Like driving a slalom. The drivers are missing a good view though.
