Had a ridiculously early checkout! Took the drive back towards Denver where we stopped off at a little town called Golden. It was a lovely little place, we walked along the river and had an ice cream. It was much warmer than Breckenridge, as we weren’t as high up.
Headed to our accommodation for the evening at Denver Airport. Dropped the car off just up the road too, dead easy to hire a car, man couldn’t have been nicer. Thankfully he didn’t notice the massive dint at the front where we drove into a bollard…only kidding, we didn’t hit anything.
Our hotel was just across the road from a typical American Diner, where we went for food and drinks in the evening. I left my ID at the hotel so had to run back to get it (they seem very strict in Colorado about ID), however the waiter gave me the cocktail shaker with double so that I could top up my drink. Excellent value place, food was good too.
You are funny. What a plate full. Cocktails with fish and chips, well crisps. How decadent .
There were proper chips under the crispy things. If you cant when you’re on holiday, when can you!
